~ Natural Make-Up ~

Are You wearing Make-UP?

Make-Up and women are like close friend.
You need to choose it wisely otherwise it can hurt you in a long term run.

I have been using the commercial Make-Up for many years and I knew that was one of the reasons that my skin was so bad! But living in the world of hypnotizing from the television and all advertising that makes us believe that we will achieve the beautiful look just like what they are showing by using what they want to sell without be mindful enough to get to know all the ingredient that hidden in it. The ingredient that we can not even pronounce it correctly but we just believe that they know better!
Today is NO MORE of the ignorant mind and thought to just use what they been hypnotizes me!
Today I know better

So I am gathering the Super Food for the skin to make my own Make-Up that I know it not only will be a best friend for my skin but also will heal it while I wearing it.

Ingredient & Healing Properties

~ Organic unrefined Shea Butter is an Natural Vitamin A cream. Vitamin A in Shea Butter is important for improving the number of skin conditions, including blemishes, wrinkles, eczema and dermatitis.
Shea butter has shown to be superb moisturizer and also has natural SPF 4-5

~ Organic Unrefined Tamanu Oil has Remarkable Healing Power! The real healing power of this traditional topical oil is its unique ability to promote the formation of new tissue, thereby accelerating wound healing and the growth of healthy skin (anti-aging).

~ Green Bentonite contains a large proportion of Montmorillonite and therefore has great absorbing powers. In addition it contains an organic material in a form of decomposed species of seaweed. French Green Clay has a milder detoxifying effect on skin then Calcium Bentonite Clay. It draws out the toxins but nourishes the skin.

~ Nutmeg provide antioxidants, which prevent free radical. Nutmeg is antiseptic, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic with antioxidants benefits! It aids dull, oily and pre-mature aged skin, reducing, noticeable, fine lines and wrinkles.

This is just the main acts for my Natural Make - Up Foundation, might add more goodies on the way… So just stay tuned for the yummy lick-able face.

~ Make Your Own Lip Balm So Easy and Yummy ~

What do you put on Your Beautiful Lip?

Do you know that many famous brands of Lipstick or Lip Balm in the market that said "NATURAL" still have some ingredients that can harm your health!!!

I don´t mean that none of them are good, but just to mention so you know and watch carefully with the ingredients before you buy or use them on your beautiful Lip.

I am one of those whom have a very hard time finding the right product that feel safe to use on myself, after years and years of allergies with almost all of the products out there, I finally like to make everything from my own kitchen. So I know what is in it.

And today I have made this delicious Lip Balm

Lilac petals made this Lip Balm even more Sweet!

Lilac have a wonderful scent but in this tin you can´t really smell it as the Shea Butter take over the scent.

I guess now you wanna know the recipe right ^_^
Here you go:

40 g. Shea Butter
40 g. Carrier Oil with Vitamin E
20 g. Beeswax
Some Lilac Petals but you can use any petals you wish.
Container to keep your Lip Balm

With the measurement I can fill 6 tins of 20ml
You can put less Beeswax or more oils if you want your Lip Balm to be less solid.

Okey here is the update for the this recipe!

I made it again yesterday and I have changed amount of the ingredients and it´s just perfect for the weather here, but if you love to have your Lip Balm a bit harder to suit your home climate then stick with the one above.
This is the new scale:

1 part of Shea Butter
1 part of Beeswax
3 parts of Carrier Oil with Vitamin E (together)

Here how´s turn out

How to make it
You can use a double boil method, but I use a small pot
1. Place all ingredients in your double boil or pot.
2. Set it on the stove, but make sure is in a low heat.
3. Stir it until all is melted down.
4. Turn off the heat and now you can add the Essential Oil if you wish and keep stir for a second, then remove the pot away from the stove and add the petals.
5. Pour in the tins or tube to contain your Lip Balm.

Now is DONE ^_^
It´s made a great gift with a pretty label on it and most of all the yummy stuff in it with 100% Natural!

~ My New Shampoo FREE Hair Regimen ~

If I say that I quite using shampoo do you think I´m crazy!?!

For some time, I have been thinking of wash my hair with Baking Soda and rinse it with Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)  and today I have made it.

I did research and found that Baking Soda has powerful benefits as a cleaner and the fact that it is a mild alkali with fine, slightly abrasive particles. Its work great to break down dirt and grease incredibly effectively, leaving your hair super squeaky clean for oily hair.
Be aware that Baking Soda can be rather dry, so you need to make the right ratio for your hair and again the fun part is to experiment.

Why rinse your hair with ACV?

ACV works in complement to baking soda incredibly well. As a more acidic product, it balances out the alkalizing effect of the Baking Soda to restore your hair's natural pH levels.
It also helps kill bacteria (great if you have dandruff issues!) and is a natural humectant, which means that it helps hold in moisture.

Gathering

This is what you will need:
* Baking Soda
* Warm Water
* Squeeze Bottle for Baking Soda mixtures (mine is 500ml)
* ACV (I used unfiltered ACV)* Pump Bottle or Squeeze Bottle work fine for ACV mixtures (I used pump bottle)

Baking Soda mixture
I have normal to dry hair so my ratio is 2 full Tbs of Baking Soda then fill up with warm water.
Shake well for the mixture to evenly mix.

ACV mixture
I mixed 1 part of ACV to 4 parts of warm water.
Optional: adding some drops of Essential Oil to your mixtures if you worry about the smell of ACV.
Shake well before use.

How to use Baking soda & ACV to clean your hair?

- Wet your hair,  then squeeze the Baking Soda mixture onto your scalp and massage your scalp but NO scratch!
- Let it to sit about 3 mins then rinse it with cold water.
- Pump out the ACV mixture onto your hair and again massage it gently and let it sit about 3 mins before rinse it with cold water.

Cold water have its ability to keep the moisture in your hair
I leave both bottles in my shower.

Result
I just LOVE IT!!

I never feel this GOOD before, it might be cause I knew that its 100% chemical FREE so its already give me the BLESS feeling.

I think my hair loves it too ^_^

I also apply a few drops of the Hair Serum that I blend it using Sunflower, Almond Oil, Vitamin E as the carrier oil and drops about 10 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil in the 50ml bottle.

Rosemary increases the circulation to the scalp and is therefore also effective for promoting hair growth.

New Regimen + Rosemary Oil Serum

In Morning, my hair looks crazy but I just Love it!

Have you ever cleans your hair with Baking Soda & ACV?

~ Make your own Natural Sun Screen ~

Do you wear Sunscreen?

I know that Sun expose can cause irritation which can make acne worse but does the Sunscreen are safe to use??

I remember, I found myself looking for Sunscreen when I was in Thailand (my home country) when the Sun is much stronger than here in Europe (at least from my points of view) and I could´t convince myself to pick any of it as I read the ingredients and 90% of the ingredients I could not even pronounce it correctly.

So I have used Coconut oil on my skin. Although it has natural Sunscreen put in a very low percentage something like SPF 4 I found it great to achieve beautiful tan skin, but what I don´t really realize is that my acne prone skin face was exposed too much in the sun and it causes hyperpigmentation to my existing acne scar.

As I do love the Sun but I also do love my skin so this Summer I plan to make my own natural Sunscreen.
I was doing my research and have come across this website wellness mama
Wellness Mama have shared this Homemade Sunscreen using all yummy Natural ingredients that just reading it already make me want to make it now.

Natural Homemade Sunscreen Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup Almond or Olive oil (can infuse with herbs first if desired) ***Although I plan to use Sunflower Oil combine with Almond oil and Vitamin E
  • 1/4 cup Coconut oil (natural SPF 4)
  • 1/4 cup Beeswax
  • 2 Tablespoons Zinc Oxide (This is a non-nano version that won’t be absorbed into the skin. Be careful not to inhale the powder). This makes a natural SPF of 20+ or more can be added.)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon Vitamin E Oil  ***I will skip this part as I already have Vitamin E in my oil
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons Shea Butter (natural SPF 4-5) ***I definitely will include the Shea Butter in it
  • Optional: Essential Oils, Vanilla Extract or other natural extracts to suit your preference   ***Vanilla will also be my choice
How to Make Natural Sunscreen:
  1. Combine ingredients except zinc oxide in a pint sized or larger glass jar.
  2. Fill a medium saucepan with a couple inches of water and place over medium heat.
  3. Put a lid on the jar loosely and place in the pan with the water.
  4. As the water heats, the ingredients in the jar will start to melt. Shake or stir occasionally to incorporate. When all ingredients are completely melted, add the zinc oxide, stir in well and pour into whatever jar or tin you will use for storage. Small mason jars (pint size) are great for this. It will not pump well in a lotion pump!
  5. Stir a few times as it cools to make sure zinc oxide is incorporated.
  6. Use as you would regular sunscreen. Best if used within six months.
She had also mentioned that this Sunscreen not waterproof and will need to be reapplied after sweating or swimming.
Note: make sure not to inhale the Zinc Oxide - use a mask if necessary!
I plan to make it as soon as I gather all the ingredients ^_^
